Float The Third Oldest River In The World

Beer City Tubing is the perfect choice for floating down the French Broad River in Asheville with friends and family.  We are conveniently located just off Interstate 26 and we provide everything you need to float the river at rates far more affordable than anyone else in town.
Every tubing customer receives free parking, shuttle service, and a deluxe inflatable tube. Our tubes are equipped with a headrest, cup holders, mesh bottom to keep you cool, and carabiners for anchoring to other tubes. Life jackets, paddles, and dry bags are also available if desired.

The Float

The float down the French Broad River in Asheville begins at Westfeldt Park and flows north to the shuttle pickup location. The duration of the tubing trip is dependent upon water level, but typically lasts 2-3 hours. This lazy section of the French Broad River averages 6-8 ft deep and is perfect for floating and swimming. You will not have to worry about dragging along the river bottom in this section. Along the way you are likely to see turtles, river otters, beavers, red-tailed hawks and be visited by brilliantly colored dragonflys. You will also be tubing by Sierra Nevada Brewing's river takeout and may stop in to visit their food truck, restrooms, and to enjoy a tasty beverage before continuing on your journey. If you plan on stopping at Sierra Nevada, please call them directly to confirm that their lower park along the river will be open as we are not directly affiliated and Covid-19 has affected their hours of operation.
